About me
Hey there! I’m Kelsey, the photographer behind Candid by Kelsey. I’m a proud wife and even prouder mum to a busy 3 year old as well as an early childhood educator and of course, a passionate photographer.
Originally from New Zealand, my family and I made the move to Brisbane in September 2022. We’ve already fallen in love with this new chapter and we can’t wait to explore more of what this place has to offer. My husband and I have a bit of an addiction to travel and together we’ve ticked off over 27 countries, 9 of those with our son! We love experiencing new cultures and adventures and that love for travel also inspires my photography.
Photography has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I’m all about capturing those real, candid moments, the ones that show the true, beautiful chaos of life. Whether it’s a family laughing together, a quiet cuddle, or a fleeting moment, I love helping families freeze those memories in time so you can hold onto them forever.
My goal is to make you feel comfortable, so your photos truly reflect the love, joy and personality of your family. Whether it’s a family session, maternity shoot or anything in between, I’m here to help you preserve the moments that matter most.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably find me spending time with my little guy, going on family adventures, or daydreaming about our next travel destination. I’m so excited to be part of your journey and can’t wait to help you create memories that last a lifetime.
